Simon Behrakis

Government Relations & Communications

Simon brings extensive experience from both state and local government. He has served as a member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly as well as an Alderman on the Hobart City Council. He has a proven record of navigating complex policy and regulatory environments to drive practical outcomes in planning, housing and economic development.

Results-focused and skilled at building strong relationships across government, business and community stakeholders, Simon draws on his parliamentary, planning and small-business experience to help clients identify solutions, anticipate regulatory challenges and achieve their strategic objectives through effective engagement and advocacy.

Quinten Villanueva

Strategy & Development

Quinten’s experience spans property development, corporate advisory, and strategic investment. He has acted as a trusted advisor to private clients and businesses, guiding them through complex transactions, structuring, and asset management across a range of property and commercial sectors.

Alongside his development work, Quinten has served in senior business council roles, where he was responsible for fostering trade relationships, driving strategic growth initiatives, and advising on investment opportunities. He is recognised for his ability to shape strategy, navigate complex regulatory environments, and align commercial objectives with long-term value creation.

Bradley Saxby

Corporate Finance & Advisory

Bradley’s experience includes private equity investments, corporate acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs and general corporate finance advisory. Bradley has acted as a principal investment advisor to family offices and been responsible for sourcing, managing and completing international transactions across a wide range of asset classes and investment structures.

Bradley has in-depth experience in supervising emerging companies and leveraging his extensive knowledge of the debt and equity markets. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and focused on private-to-public listings and other general assurance services.

Bradley is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales.

Alan Taychouri

Consulting & Technology

Alan brings cross-sector experience in management consulting, risk management, and corporate strategic advisory. His work is industry-agnostic and includes the modernisation of the project management offices for ASX-listed companies, overseeing complex technology implementations, and driving regulatory compliance and organisational change programs.

Alan's innovative approach leverages emerging technologies, including AI applications, to deliver enhanced outcomes for clients. His ability to operate effectively across different environments enables him to provide cutting-edge solutions regardless of organisational complexity.

Jordan Un

Associate

Jordan provides financial analysis for a diverse range of private and public companies both inside and outside of the Australian markets. Jordan has developed a strong foundation in the corporate finance space through IPOs, private equity placements and international transactions.

Jordan has participated in the stock and derivatives market for several years and leverages his trading experiences to bring a unique perspective to the business. Jordan holds a Bachelor of Economics from UTAS, majoring in Finance and Economic Analysis and is currently completing his CFA.

John Wilson

Legal Counsel

John has extensive experience advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital raisings and reorganisations.

Before joining Groom Kennedy, John was a corporate / mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Linklaters in London and Singapore from 2014 to 2020. He has also acted as in-house counsel for Centrica plc, a leading energy company and Citigroup, an international financial services organisation.

John’s cross-border experience and international outlook enables him to provide innovative advice to clients no matter how complex the legal or business problem.
